On February 7th, 2023, the DIGILOGIC Virtual Job Fair was held as the final stage of the DIGILOGIC Capacity Building program that trained young people from various parts of Africa in entrepreneurship and digital skills. The event aimed to connect job seekers with potential employers from the logistics industry and the wider tech space.
The event featured 26 employers from various industries including the transport and logistics space. Notable companies included YomYom Limited, SnooCODE, ShaQ Express and Stride delivery.
The employers were provided with virtual booths where they could showcase their company's information, job openings, and recruitment process. They also had the opportunity to chat with job seekers and schedule virtual interviews.
The job fair attracted 128 job seekers from different backgrounds, experience levels, and skill sets. They were able to browse through the virtual booths of the employers and interact with them to learn more about the companies and job openings. Job seekers also had the opportunity to attend various webinars and workshops on topics such as CV and interview skills.
The DIGILOGIC virtual job fair was a successful event that proved to be beneficial for both job seekers and employers to be appropriately matched. Looking forward, feedback from attendees will be incorporated into subsequent events of this nature, to realize the full benefits of a DIGILOGIC virtual job fair.
