DIGILOGIC System Thinking Workshop
DIGILOGIC partners met remotely on 1st February 2021 for a System Thinking training conducted by Tendai Pasipanodya, ENDEVA Director.
DIGILOGIC aims at ensuring long-term, sustainable partnerships among Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) in Europe and Africa, starting from five DIHs, partners of the project: VTT, Digital Hub Logistics, Friuli Innovazione (Europe), MEST and Bongo-Hive (Africa).
System Thinking aims to push beyond the immediate problems to see the underlying patterns and the ways we may change the system to reach a higher equilibrium. It allows us to understand the dynamics which cause the system to behave as it does and to avoid creating new problems while trying to solve the initial ones. A system thinking approach helps to identify bright spots which are leverage point to focus our efforts and create efficiencies and to identify actors which can make the difference.
System Thinking recognises that in systems no force exists in isolation, each force has a cause and effect and they are interrelated and tied together in feedback loops.
Based on System Thinking methodology, DIGILOGIC is currently mapping the smart logistics ecosystem in Europe and Africa, engaging DIHs, industry players, policy makers and innovators to pave the way to the work ahead, to verify the technology needs and knowledge gaps, which will be the guiding principles of DIGILOGIC eLearning and Challenges programmes.
